New Jobs Report Is The Final Blow to Dire GOP Predictions and Trump Gloom and Doom

Remember  how the doom and gloom GOP screamed how Obamacare was going to be a job killer? And in true OCD like commitment they were determined (and still are) to repeal the ACA. Here’s a flashback on then Majority leader John Boehner  discussing their anti-Obamacare agenda.

BOEHNER ON REPEALING THE JOB-KILLING HEALTH CARE LAW:

“In my opinion, ObamaCare is the biggest job killer we have in America today. It’s a weight over every employer that we have. Thereby– requiring them to hold back their willingness to hire people. Secondly, I believe that ObamaCare will ruin the best health care delivery system in the world. And then thirdly, I think it’ll bankrupt our country. On September 24th, when we rolled out our Pledge to America, we made clear that we wanted to repeal ObamaCare. We are going to do what we said we were going to do.”

As reported by Sarah Jones:

Contrary to the Republicans’ warped view of America as a disaster, we have now added 15.0 million jobs — continuing the longest streak of total job growth on record.

The July jobs report should be the final blow to Republican predictions about Obamacare and Donald Trump’s bizarre vision of an America in decline with the economy adding 255,000 jobs according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, including adding 217,000 private sector jobs.

Contrary to the Republicans’ warped view of America as a disaster, we have now added 15.0 million jobs — continuing the longest streak of total job growth on record.

Jason Furman, Chairman of the Council of Economic Adviser, said in a statement, “The economy added 255,000 jobs in July, as the unemployment rate held steady, labor force participation rose, and wage growth picked up.”

Contrary to Republican predictions about Obamacare being a job killer (a false prediction we’ve fact-checked many times but since Republicans keep parroting the already debunked talking point, it never gets old), Politico’s Dan Diamond pointed out, “Since Obama took office, the health care industry has gained more than 2 million jobs.” He added, “Obamacare was signed into law in March 2010. The private sector hasn’t lost jobs since:”

Thank you Obama.
