Legendary Music Icon Prince Dead At 57

princeWe lost Michael, Whitney and now, so sadly, Prince…

Our 1908’s super-star pop icons have all left us much too soon. Our hearts, heavy with sadness, yet we celebrate the multitude of memories that shared with us through their precious art.

We remember the epic international excitement with each new project they created. Songs and voices of my generation.

Our prayers and condolences to the family and friends of Prince Rogers Nelson. May he rest in peace.

Purple Rain

I never meant to cause you any sorrow
I never meant to cause you any pain
I only wanted to one time to see you laughing
I only wanted to see you
Laughing in the purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
I only wanted to see you
Bathing in the purple rain
I never wanted to be your weekend lover
I only wanted to be some kind of friend
Baby, I could never steal you from another
It’s such a shame our friendship had to end

Prince, the legendary musician who brought us countless hits, such as “Purple Rain” and “When Doves Cry,” has died, TMZ reports. He was 57.

An insider close to the singer confirmed the tragic news to The Huffington Post.

The award-winning artist died on Thursday at his Paisley Park compound in Minnesota. The cause of death has yet to be released.

HuffPost has reached out to his reps.

Earlier this week, the performer was treated for the flu after his plane made an emergency landing.

A representative for Prince told TMZ that the singer was feeling under the weather during his shows last week and began feeling worse on the plane. After the emergency landing, he was treated at a hospital and released three hours later.
