Not everyone is pleased to hear that Dick Cheney had a bust unveiled in Washington earlier this month. Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura was informed of the Cheney statue, and didn’t hold back his very candid opinion
After serving for eight years as President George W. Bush’s vice president, Cheney has become one of the most controversial figures in modern political history. Known as one of the leading voices beyond the failed wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Cheney has been accused of war crimes for years. Ventura pointed this out and more in a video posted to his official Facebook page on Dec. 23.
“Let me tell you something. Dick Cheney and George W. Bush should be prosecuted for murder and they all can be under the Constitution,” Ventura told “Off the Grid” producer Alex Logan. Ventura noted that Cheney’s bust unveiling is another example of “how fraudulent our country is,” calling it “ridiculous.”
